Thanks. I worked on these.

The feedback was blunt, but several product problems were real. This is the public record of what changed, what did not change, and where the proof lives.

Criticism to change

What I heard and changed

No usernames and no score-settling. The useful standard is whether a new visitor can now find value and verify it.

"I cannot find actual tools or results."

The front page now opens on a real result.

The first screen shows the latest finding, metric, revision receipt, limitation and authorship boundary. Direct task links open the checker, eval registry, observatory, feeds and developer tools without a product tour.

"It is endless product description."

Descriptions were replaced by actions and evidence rows.

The arbitrary numbered homepage sequence is gone. Navigation now uses visitor tasks, and the main content unit is result, receipt and limit instead of a feature card.

"Why not read the original newspaper?"

The Wire now calls itself a source index where that is what it is.

Original publisher links are primary. Single-source reports are explicitly not independent Palimpsest findings. Palimpsest's added value is limited to source grouping, measurement context, revision history and next checks.

"The conclusion is just negative information."

Absence of verification is now a boundary, not a headline finding.

A page with no independent Palimpsest result says that plainly and tells the reader what the index still adds. It does not present "cannot verify" as if it refuted the source report.

"What is this actually for?"

The product boundary is now on the homepage and every feed directory row.

Palimpsest is not a replacement newspaper. Use it for a measurement, source relationship, revision trail, machine-readable record or explicit unknown. If you only need the publisher's article, read the publisher.

"The feeds blur together."

All eight RSS and JSON Feed pairs now declare one job.

The feed audit fixed the instrument feed's incorrect self URL, added explicit source-report, situation-synthesis and measurement labels, made current syndication network-only, and published a 16-endpoint directory with limits.

"This is just a vibe-coded RSS aggregator."

The China Situation desk now combines four auditable evidence lanes.

The source registry grew from 31 to 47 official feeds. Publisher reports now sit beside exact-link institutional Instagram or Telegram observations, human-reviewed source-free Dragon Whispers, and declared Observatory measurements. Each lane keeps its own receipt and limitation; social circulation cannot become corroboration.

What did not change

I still use AI assistance.

AI helped turn criticism into a working redesign, feed-contract changes, regression tests and documentation. I do not think hiding that would make the work more honest.

The responsibility boundary is the point: AI assistance is named; original sources remain named; deterministic output remains reproducible; claims still need receipts; and tests are open to inspection.

Inspect the source and tests

Next round

More criticism is welcome.

Copy-ready update:

Thanks for the criticism. I worked through it. Palimpsest now opens on a real result and receipt; its registry has 47 official feeds; and the new China Situation desk combines attributed reporting, reviewed social observations and Observatory measurements without blurring what each can prove. All 16 RSS and JSON Feed endpoints have explicit jobs and limits. I still use AI assistance, disclose it, and take responsibility for the result. More criticism is welcome.

If a page still makes you ask what it is for, where the result is, who made the claim, or how to verify it, that is actionable feedback. Please send it.
