Choose by purpose

Every public feed

RSS is for ordinary readers. JSON Feed carries additional typed Palimpsest metadata for software and agents.

Palimpsest result

Use when: You want each newly verified run or changed finding.
Adds: Controls, uncertainty, revision identity and sentence-level evidence coverage.
Does not: Turn a clean control or sealed hash into proof that the evaluation construct is valid.

Palimpsest method

Use when: You want method changes, failed assumptions and longer explanations.
Adds: Named claims, falsifiers, evidence attachments and a content hash.
Does not: Replace the live findings feed when you need the current run state.

Palimpsest result

Use when: You only want Palimpsest's own observatory measurements.
Adds: Current metric, denominator, source receipt, status and explicit limitation.
Does not: Include the external publisher source index or infer a cause from co-movement.

Mixed and explicitly labeled

Use when: You need one machine-readable stream of indexed publisher reports and Palimpsest measurements.
Adds: Source grouping, revision identity, evidence-strength labels and measurement updates.
Does not: Independently verify a publisher report. Single-source entries stay labeled as source reports.

Publisher report + next checks

Use when: You want China-relevant publisher items with the next verification move attached.
Adds: A source relationship, bounded position, known unknowns and direct evidence-dossier link.
Does not: Republish an article as a Palimpsest conclusion or guarantee the source report is true.

Three layers, relations preserved

Use when: You want publisher reports, exact-link social observations and Observatory measurements in one event view.
Adds: Layer coverage, source-lineage counts, current measurements, missing context and next checks.
Does not: Turn social circulation or topic-level measurement context into verification, causation or another independent source.

Palimpsest analysis

Use when: You want the latest cross-instrument China censorship finding.
Adds: Sentence-level receipts, citation coverage, finding state and a revision ID.
Does not: Collapse unlike instruments or convert missing data into evidence of calm.

Unverified context

Use when: You want sanitized, human-reviewed context that may suggest a later check.
Adds: Uncertainty, privacy boundary and next checks without raw messages or identifiers.
Does not: Count as evidence or corroboration, establish prevalence, or identify a person or network.

Reading labels

The label tells you what kind of responsibility Palimpsest takes for the item.

Palimpsest result

A reproducible output from a named instrument or sealed eval.

Palimpsest analysis

A bounded interpretation with citations, countercases and limits.

Source report

A publisher's claim, kept attributed and linked to the original.

Unverified context

A reviewed lead for follow-up that does not count as corroboration.
